Microsoft office, which includes word, publisher etc is not free.

I personally think that its expensive which is why I've never bought it.



Most pc's come with a word processing package, I have Windows word which is ok, but nowhere near as good as Microsoft office and all that it contains.



Unfortunately it also affects application forms for jobs as downloads just won't open on my home pc. So when I need to fill in a form I tend to get them sent to me via manual mail. As most of the forms I get to fill in are books its not convenient to fill them in via public internet services in the library, as they take longer than the session you are allowed.



Best of luck in finding a word processing package to suit you that is reasonable.
