I start my online classes today and I need a copy of MS word. I have Open Office, but I don't know if I can use that in place of Word, since assignments will probably have to be done in it

Is there any store or any place online, that I can get a cheap Word program. I don't even care if its old..i just need to know how to get it onto my computer today,

Any help/advice is appreciated!

Thank you

Make sure you have the latest version of Open Office. It is all you will need. Go to tools/ options and to the load/save setting. Then go to Microsoft Office section and turn on all the tick boxes. This will make it open and save all its' documents in MS formats.

you can use open office instead its compatible with the whole microsoft office suite and you can buy word separatly at retail stores but its $200+ i dont know why microsoft made the prices so high especially since people can just download the free alternatives(open office, neo office, abi word) that are exactly the same

and you can download the 60 day trial here http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX102893441033.aspx?xid=FD19DA88-320E-4850-A3F2-F376910A2AEE

its compatible with word as long as you save it as a .doc file

Microsoft doesn't give it out for free. You can use Open Office just like word and it is compatible,.
