then a big; X there was a problem starting C;Users\OzZiE\AppData\Local\conduit\BackGroundContainer\BackgroundContainer.dll
The specified module could not be found.

everything seems to be fine except every time i boot the anoying message and i feel it has slowed my comp down a bit,i have tryd rebooting and CC cleaner disck cleanup / registry clean - Defraggler even got RegCurePro nothin worked. Also tryed reversing the process didnt work

The steps i took to geting this error was as followed ;wanted to change my logon screen background so i ..used run, regedit, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SOFTWARE, MICROSOFT,WINDOWS, CURRENT VERSION, AUTHENTICATION, LOGONUI,BACKGROUND, then i clicked the file OEMBackround and set the value to 1 base= . hexadecimal
then i went to, Local C\ then windows folder ,then system32, then oobe, then info, then backgrounds, then i added the pic i wanted named it backgroundDefault.

this is the youtube vid i watched to do this maybe this will help u\ help me fig out the problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSVRQzhJrGE the only thing i can see that i changed was the OEMBackground value and adding the pic at the end and renaming it plz get back to me asap my comp feels like its struggling now since that error came along. =-{ thank u.

You did back up your registry before you modified it didn't you? Just restore it from that and you should be fine.

seems you have been tricked in to infecting your computer.

conduit is an adware infection.

use ADW Cleaner to remove it > http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/dl/125/

or get it from the authors site > http://general-changelog-team.fr/en/tools/15-adwcleaner

to make sure you have not got other garbage left on there.

then run a full scan with SUPERAntiSpyware

Portable Scanner Technicians Edition > http://www.superantispyware.com/portablescannertech.html

and remove whatever it finds.

this does not require installing,

just delete it when you have finished using it.
