You can do screenshots in two ways:

Type Shift Command 3 to capture full screen or Shift Command 4 to get a marquee type tool - draw around an area you want to capture and just that part of your screen will be captured. Both save a .png file on your desktop that you can open in Preview.

Hold down Control as well and the file will be placed on your clipboard so you can paste it in another file.

To capture a specific window only press Shift Command 4, then the space bar - this will turn your cursor into a camera. Move it over a window and it will highlight it as the active window, click anywhere within the window to capture.

Alternatively included with OSX software is Grab, a utility that lets you take screenshots with a few more controls than the keyboard method. You will find Grab in the Applications>Utilities folder.

Alienware is dell. domicile windows computers (xp,vista,7,etc) have a registry folder together as macs do no longer. macs are greater efficient for gaming they are geared up for video modifying video clips and gaming. alienware can do the comparable element yet there no longer as everywhere sturdy as macs. i might advise macs. Dells are terrible.

Depends on what version of software (OS and Quicktime) you have. I have MAC OS X 10.6.3 and quicktime X on my new iMac. I start Quicktime X and then click File > New Screen Recording. Simple as that!

What is your OS? Do you have Quicktime X?
