Joomla is pretty good. I like the flexibility of content & design.

I have been using Joomla with a winning template and extensions and it is really a amazing tool but you need to look at Joomla site management in a different way than normal web development. I find it much more intuitive than Drupal and EasyPublish as a CMS

There is not a best one, each CMS is good... but for a given project. There are very CMS for simple websites, other for site factory, other for community driven websites and so on. Wordpress, drupal, plone have very extensive community of developers and can provide efficient support through forum. Content 5 has a great ease of use for editors and is trendy right now, my favorite is Jahia for its mix of portal and CMS but is for Java developers.

In conclusion, identify the CMS for your project and for your technical skills before anything! And chose carefully the good one... cf. www.cmsmyth.com
