Hi, i have a xp computer, everything is ridiculously frustrating, even connecting wirelessly to the internet cause you have to boot the whatever-dumb thing assistant to configure the something in order for the processor to bla bla whatever, idk. I wanna get a mac but since i like games id have lots less games but i dont wanna struggle with stupid windows anymore, is windows 7 simpler (or the new windows 8) or should i get a mac? Thanks

Well, when comparing Windows 7 and 8, it's quite basic: Windows 8 is CLEARLY made for tablets and rather difficult to use, while Windows 7 is way easier to use on any device.

Now, although I'm a huge fan of both operating systems, Mac OS X EASILY trumps Windows with processing, image/video editing, and overall operating performance. However, if you're planing on gaming, like, high-end gaming, Mac SUCKS, plain and simple! Windows is your best choice! But, if you're planning on upgrading to Windows 7 from a PC that natively has Windows XP, you might wanna double check if it's supported and that you have high enough specs, although Windows 7 Home Basic works on practically anything.

If you are struggling to use xp do not think about getting the new windows 8 as it is way more complex. Windows 7 is more user friendly but it really depends on the user

LOL! i asked the same question a few months back "is it me or is win7 just crap?" i used to be a mac user but that became too costly. i switched to linux and it gives me all the mac goodness at no cost. so that's my recommendation.

i can still run PC stuff in virtualbox, the windows OS, apps, games, etc run at full speed.

also, most linux installers give us the option to keep windows intact and have a dual-boot system.

Windows 8. At my school we use aruba to log in and 8 makes it that you don't have to go to other websites to login, makes it even easier.

If you're asking if Windows 7 is more idiot proof, then yes, it is.
