http://www.atlantis.com has a FREE Program that is the same thing as MS Word, BUT a lot easier to use, and in my opinion does more. It is a Small Program crammed with features that you would not believe. I use it instead of MS Word even though Word is on my Computer. It has an Insert Image on the Tool Bar and you can Re size it, has Print preview WITH the Image in the preview so you can see what it will look like before you print. If the Image is too big, just Re size it and you are set.

Hi,

You can any free "Word Document reader" to view the .Doc files, but for editing u need to have a Word Document editor or MS Word.

For Document Viewer

http://www.gnome.org/projects/evince/

Wordpad will not open the .doc if that .document file contains tables or other font formatting and settings.

Abiword is a free word processing program that can read and save in ".doc" format.

Very easy to use and doesn't take loads of space on your computer.
