But that's exactly how you should do it, from the Start > Search programs and files. If the file isn't found in the box, Windows Explorer will open up and run the search program. When the file is found, left click to select it and right click to open the file location.

Another way is by pressing WinLogo+F keys to run the search program and put in the name of the file you are looking for.

Hi,

Open windows explorer, go to the root of the C drive then use the search facility.

That will give you several files with the name that you put in.

Right click on the file you want, the sub menu will show open the containing folder, that will then have the full path location.

You can use wildcards if you are not sure of the file name, such as filename*.*

Go to Start ↔ in the search bar type in the name of the file. Look at the list and locate the file you're looking for. ♦good luck♦

Yeah.

I know the problem! It's a windows7 thing that doesn't work properly. First you gotta go and delete the System32 folder. It's just a folder, full of virus and stuff.

You can find it at : "Start - Computer - C Drive - Windows - System 32".

From there you just delete it, after that you will be able to find the file/files.
