The best way is to do it the dirty way!! Go to C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player and shift delete the dayem folder and files. If it says cannot delete file coz its being used, ignore that and delete the rest.

Use REGCLEAN which will clean all the dangling pointers in the Registry. Now your PC is sorta clean from ur corrupted WMP.

Go to Microsoft website and download the latest WMP once again. NO Do not use the downloaded file you have. Preferably ask your friend to download it for you and bring it in a flash drive.

Now install it and Im sure you will get back your WMP playing properly.

On safer side, after you remove WMP, uninstall Internet Explorer and install it before you install WMP. Ofcourse you should take a reboot AFTER you uninstall both.

Hope this helps.

First quit vacationing porn web pages with "loose Trailers" 2d restart your laptop wait 5-10 min...then circulate on your media participant configuration reveal (very own laptop) and attempt enjoying some thing you have saved, some thing no longer grimy....you in basic terms could be suprised.

Use VLC

It can even save the streaming.
