A Microsoft Excel Question?

When I purchased a computer, it came with Microsoft Excel (2007 ultimate, I was told). I could not find any statistical programs like regression etc that I have used in a previous 2003 version. I do have statistical functions available.
Could someone explain how to execute the existing statistical programs in Excel 2007? Do I have to download something and if so, how ? Thank you.

You probably need to install the Add-in (this is for 2010, but I think 2007 is similar)



Click the File tab,



click Options, and then click the Add-Ins category.



In the Manage box, select Excel Add-ins and then click Go.



In the Add-Ins available box, select the Analysis ToolPak check box, and then click OK.



Tip If Analysis ToolPak is not listed in the Add-Ins available box, click Browse to locate it.



If you are prompted that the Analysis ToolPak is not currently installed on your computer, click Yes to install it.

You might check your Add-Ins to see if you need to activate one or more.



For Excel 2010 (probably similar in 2007):



Go to File > Options



Select the Add-Ins menu item.



Click the 'Go' button next to the 'Manage' drop down.



Place a check mark in the check boxes for add-ins you wish to activate and click 'OK'
