Question:
Ctrl+F makes my internet explorer close all of my tabs. How can I fix this so that I get my "find" box back?

I just downloaded the newer version of internet explorer the tabs and stuff. However, every time I try to find a specific word on a web page and I use CTRL+F, explorer automatically asks me if I want to close all of my tabs. Even when I click "no" the little pop up asking me if I want to close all my tabs won't disappear. This forces me to have to close my tabs and reopen all the different web pages manually again. I have checked under edit and found where it says "Find on this page..." and right beside it, it says that the hot key for this function is Ctrl+F but obviously this isn't working. PLEASE HELP!!!

No real answers, but some thoughts:

1. I'm assuming that by "newer version" you mean IE7. Is that right? It's the latest officially release Internet Explorer. Anything else could be a beta test version.

2. Did you download this from Microsoft itself? I wouldn't trust any third party for a version of Microsoft software.

3. Do you have any addons that might be doing this? If so, try disabling them and see if the problem disappears.

4. Is it possible a virus has already attacked IE7?

Sorry I can't be of more use than that. Good luck.
