Windows 7 comes with IE8 installed. IE8 is faster and safer than IE 7. It is also compatible with more sites than any other browser. If you are concerned with the way IE 8 will interact with sites you are visiting, you should check out Compatibility Mode which allows you to view sites as they would appear in IE 6 or IE 7, with the added security and speed of IE 8.

Here's some more information: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2009/02/16/just-the-facts-recap-of-compatibility-view.aspx

Let me know if there are specific things you want to know about IE8.

Mozilla Firefox is hands down the best browser for anybody. It is fast, safe, and easy to use, especially on windows 7. Google Chrome takes a little more getting used to, especially since if you are coming from internet explorer (the address bar and search bar are one in the same, and it takes getting used to :)

Firefox running in task manager but would not even open a window. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Same. System restore to a month before last working. Same.

Chrome is pissing me off by its slowness. With addons without addons and have good speed with any other program that needs to be online.

IE what a joke in itself.

Google chrome, fast and safe.....at the latest hacker convention, the topic was all about client side exploits, or exploiting the browser just by having someone visit the website...well every browser was comprimised except for google chrome.....OOPS guess mac users are in trouble.
