As i like to do some quantitative analysis, it is easier to do that in Excel. But, most of the annual report of listed companies is in PDF format, and the online tools to convert PDF to excel are evaluation version. So, i just want to know whether it is possible to import data from PDF using Excel 2007.

highlight all your data in your pdf, then paste it to your excel sheet. though you'll be having some problems when it comes to text to columns wizard because sometimes some data can never be aligned in one column the way you want it.

www.zamzar.com an free online conversion though it only converts 2 pages of pdf to excel format.

i'm doing also quantitative analysis that's why im requesting our IT dept to purchase a pdf to excel converter... sorry if i cant be of help

You would probably have to have Adobe software (not just the Reader) operational on your computer so that the actual Adobe file could be opened so as to get to the actual data. The PDF format was intended to allow the sharing of the product but not the actual data. You could TRY dragging over ONE of the rows and TRY a cut-and-paste into Excel bu I strongly suspect that will not work. Rishita apparently didn't understand your question, since he pointed to a spftware package that goes the OTHER way and wouldn't help you at all.

Yes, Microsoft Excel 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013 imports data from PDF if you install PDF Copy Paste software.

After you install PDF Copy Paste, open your PDF file, navigate to your desired data (figures, charts, tables, etc), and click Ctrl+C, and then click 'Send to Microsoft Excel' button on the top tool bar.

Done! Your Microsoft Excel now imports your desired data from PDF document!
