I already bought Windows 8 pro for my main desktop but am building a gaming computer will it work?

I already bought Windows 8 pro 69.99 to update my desktop computer. I am building a gaming computer and wondering if it will install on that too, or if I will have to buy another copy. I am not looking foreword to forking out another 69.99 so if buying another copy is my last option, what is the cheapest OS for gaming. Should I go with windows 7 instead? and where is the cheapest place to buy windows 7?

You cant use 8 a second time it will flag up the second hardware signature and not activate. You can download the ISO images for Windows 7 and then purchase the licence from Microsoft so there is only one price.

The Windows license is for 1 computer only, so legally it will only work on one computer. If I was building a new gaming computer right now, I would stick with windows 7 personally as games are already set up for it and I've heard rumors that windows 8 seems to take more stuff to run (cpu and ram) leaving less for the games. Depending on if you upgraded your windows 8 pc or if you bought it disk and all, you may be able to use your old license (if it was on a windows version you wanted) on your new computer. Such as if I bought windows 8, and built a new computer I could put windows 8 on this computer and use my cd key of windows 7 from this computer on the new computer I built.



And the cheapest place to buy is, the internet, just google it and go to shopping!
