I have Mac OS X Tiger, but i want to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Is it possible to buy the £25 package and easily upgrade, or will i have to pay more because im on a lower operating system? Thanks. :)

This is probably not the most ethical, but there are some sources claiming that this is indeed possible to do...

However, you must have an Intel Mac (Snow Leopard doesn't work on PowerPC Macs). Also note that some older applications/software won't work on Snow Leopard...

If you spend $160 (I don't know how many GBP that is), you would also be able to install/upgrade iLife and iWork in addition to Snow Leopard. This would be through their Mac Box set. iLife consists of iPhoto, iMovie, iWeb, and GarageBand. iWork consists of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.

Hopefully this can be of some help. If you ask Apple, they would prefer you spend more money and buy their Mac Box Set.

You have to buy Leopard and then Snow Leopard. Tiger to Snow Leopard is not supported unless you go by way of Leopard.

In the US they sell a convenient package that gives you L+SL + latest iWorks and iLife. It's like $160, whereas Snow Leopard is $30.

you may have to upgrade to the leopard disc first, then upgrade to snow leopard
