I’m using the new Vista program (which it sucks big time, my biggest regret so far) before this program I used to have Windows XP, & was able to use the “Simple File Shredder 3.2” easily
But now when I attempt to shredder or delete something w/ this program what ever file/size/format that I drag it wont take it, it wont delete, it says:
- Class not registered - what does this mean?

How can I fix this?

Class Not Registered Error is usually caused by a bad device drivers, missing system files, wrong system settings or a corrupted registry file. Most likely a registry problem.

I would go to control panel>Add or Remove Programs and remove Simple File Shredder 3.2.

Then go to this site and download it again & see if that fixes the problem.

Late reply but it may help others.

Try this.

Find your simplefleshrd.exe program file (usually in c:/program files/scar5/simple file shredder/)

Right click on simplefleshrd.exe and select "run as administrator"

You might not be able to drag and drop the files you want to shred, so use the "add files" or "add folder" icons in the shred program.

If this works it just means you need to change the access level on this program. So then right click on simplefleshrd.exe, select properties, select security, select "edit", select "users" then tick the box that says allow full access. Then click "apply" and "ok"
