Ok, so here is my situation.
I was given a MacBook (early 2008 model) with a broken hdd and no installation disks. SO I inserted my other laptops hdd running windows 8 and I decided to download os x tiger and then buy a later one from the app store. my only problem is that it wont boot from the disk, I hold c and nothing, it still boots onto windows. The file is .iso must I change it? I burned it onto a disk using poweriso and it dosent work. please recommend any kinds of software that will allow me to install it. thanks

Contact Apple's customer service. They should be able to sell you 10.6 on a disc or USB for around $20. That will get you the app store and then you can upgrade from there.

Do some research You will find that the latest iOS/x will not install on your 4yr old mac. Mac don't support their computer beyond 3 yrs old, My suggestion is Download and install Linux on your old mac system Linux is superior far more advance than Mac or windows 8 is, Linux is up to date Feb 2013, To prove my point just visit these websites, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain, Mac iOS/x is built from a Free open source operating system, (Free BSD) Not many Mac users actually know that.

There are over 100 top Linux distribution available with over 40.600 free professional application software packages and over 1.100 free games. here is one I would recommend you take a look at, It will let you have choice of windows Vista, Xp, Windows 7 desktops or Mac os/x desktop at the click of the mouse button. check this one out and see what I mean, then if you like what you see then download it, their latest release was released last Sunday 27th Feb

it received't impression the speed of the Mac OS in any respect. because you're purely operating purely one OS at a time it incredibly works at it commonly used speed. in spite of the undeniable fact that, i'd enormously advise that you take advantage of domicile windows 7 extremely of Vista!

Remove crappy windows software from your MacBook and put OS X on. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. I don't even know why you would put that crap on there instead of buying a new one

You are stealing software? That is illegal. Do you want to be reported to Yahoo Answers for violating their guidelines about no illegal activity?
