What non American computer operating systems are there?

I HATE and DETEST to support American companies, and avoid to do so at all pĂ´ssible costs.... what non yank computer operating systems are there?

You can use Linux, it is developed by people from all around the world, though large American companies do contribute to the code quite a bit. Linus Torvalds did come to live here in the USA and work for an American companies too. You can also use Kylin, it is developed by the Chinese government although it is based on FreeBSD which is also developed openly. Really, all other operating systems have a certain amount of openness to them and borrow code from Linux.

Hi - I would go for Linux, as the main man behind it (Linus Torvalds) is Finnish. But he does now live in America......

good luck with that.
your best bet is linux - it's open source, which means it's built by the community, not a corporation.
still mostly american though.

If you want your computer to run well, I would consider Windows. What is your beef with America? If you got a problem we'll just invade you too.
