i downloaded a game(battlefield). it had finished downloading and installed. but it was taking to long and just decided to start deleting stuff from the game folders, i never uninstalled it. in the end there was what i thought no files/folders left. but i tried to install the game again and it says its already installed. i have been looking for a file from the game for about a week, and i finally found 1 file from the game this way: start,computer,local disc C:,windows folder,downloaded program files. in the folder there is 5 files, 4 of them i think are from the game, and 1 of them i know is from the game, because its called Battlefield Play4free Updater. under status for that file it says installed. what should i do with these files. should i delete them or what should i do. it has no option to delete, or uninstall. when i right click it has only one option and its properties. under properties it has a general,dependency, and version tab. PLEASE HELP.

You deleted the game files. You didn't delete the registry keys for them, so the computer thinks its still installed.

Start -> Run -> regedit

Find the game/program, and delete the folder.

If you cannot do this manually, download something like CCleaner and run the registry cleaner (which will erase/delete obsolete registries, such as the ones you mentioned).

If a file won't go away when you go to Control Options --> Add/remove programs.... then download this and I SWEAR it works. I used it to get rid of the old files from Java because they wouldn't leave only update and the file just stays there.....

Click the icon you want to delete and click Advanced and that way it gets rid of any excess files regarding to that file you're deleting..... Just wait a few minutes and it's all complete. :)

Re-try your game download and see if it works, if not email me at DjClubKitty@mymelody.com

I will help you. I know a good amount. :)

Good Luck^^

Preferably I like the one from CNET. Just in case it doesn't give me trouble, and expire on me after 30 days >_>

Try Uninstalling from Control Panel >Add/remove programes> Uninstall

If it does not help, try deleting from registry. Make Use of a software

You can delete any programmes, softwares or Games that you have installed on your PC completely by downloading "Revo Uninstaller" which is free and it removes all the files from the registries. You can download it from the below link:
