SMplayer and MKV files?

Question

I downloaded "MPlayer SVN Windows with SMPlayer GUI (recommended)" and placed the Windows x86 20071007 binary codecs into ProgramFiles (x86)/SMplayer/mplayer/codecs. I can't seem to
1. get smooth playback of 720p mkv files
2. get any video at all from 1080 mkv files (audio seems to be allright)
Any fixes? I have WIndows 7 64bit
mp4 files work fine

remove that stupid ****** player and install below players...for best playback of hd videos



1.cyberlink power dvd ultra(recommended)

2.vlc.

I recommend VLC, it plays everything.
