Do you have to install pinnacle studios in order to capture video with a dazzle dvd recorder?

Hello people. I just bought myself a dazzle dvd recorder plus, but my computer is already pretty slow, and I dont need pinnacle studios on it bogging it even more down. I just want to know if there is a way i can bypass all this pinnacle crap and get into windows movie maker, or anything at all for that matter.

I have the same thing...sorry...because of the device drivers you HAVE to use the Pinnacle software in order for the Dazzle to work.
