Have you tried this?:

Open Internet Explorer, click on Tools at the top, click Internet Options.

In the window that comes up click on the Advanced tab at the top, and check BOTH of the boxes that say "Disable Script Debugging", and also UNcheck the box that says "Display a Notification about every script error".

Now click OK, and close Internet Explorer and try your Works again.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

Do you have Internet Explorer security settings adjusted to the default level? The default level is "Medium" for Internet Explorer 6 and "Medium-high" if you are using IE-7 or 8. In Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Internet > set to the default level > OK > OK. Never set any lower than the default!

what are you trying to do when the error occurs? this might help you find the solution, step by step. if it happens just opening calendar, you might need to try re-instaling the application, or that portion of it. a hint on that: do not simply over-write the calendar application; remove it entirely and do a fresh re-install from the master disk

'lo, ya'll prisoners of MS:

So you're getting scripting errors, eh?

Well, I just recently got a PPC account & just plain got tired of the scripting error windows popping up when I sign on. And People PC is aware of this problem.

Apparently, from what I've found in research, Windows Scripting Host v5.6 is buggy.

I've done all the usual "fixes", like turning off scripting error messages in Internet Options. (HA! THAT is a FIX?? More of the usual MS bandaid solutions...)

I was still getting the scripting error popups.

Here's PPC's help link for this prob:

http://home.peoplepc.com/helpinfo/techsupport/default.asp#scripterrors

To resolve the scripting errors in People PC & possibly in other apps you've got, this problem resolution link is offered by People PC:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/default.asp?URL=/downloads/sample.asp?url=/msdn-files/027/001/733/msdncompositedoc.xml

A MicroBlackHoles link.

A frickin' Windows Update frikkin' takes-forever-to-download thing is next, I'm sure...

So I clicked on the link and this comes up:

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but the URL you are trying to reach, http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads.default.asp?url=/downloads/sample.asp?url=/msdn-files/027/001/733/msdncompositedoc.xml, has been moved from this location. You will be redirected to the new location in 5 seconds. Please update any bookmarks.

Thanks, The MSDN Team."

This is a redirection link, goes to another MS page which, supposedly, contains the fix or at least info about how to fix the prob. "OK," I think."Nothing really wrong with that..."

But... this is the page that comes up after that original page's 5-second redirection timeout ends (how considerate... MS gives you 5 seconds to read their BS):

http://msdn.microsoft.com/404/default.aspx

Notice the "404" in the address? "Geeeeeee.... what could THAT mean?", I thought as I looked at that address in my Opera's address bar as the page was loading up...

But...hehehe...I knew. I really knew. More Upcoming MS BS. Just more of the same crap...

LOL! Again, the big fat gorilla is covering its big fat butt. This happens alot with MicroBlackHoles. They don't want to admit to problems until enough hell is raised, I guess, & then they'll tell their likely cubicle-bound lackies to come up with some sort of software patch to temp-fix their crappily-made software or some frikkin' other thing to temporarily quell the angry villagers.

So the redirected page came up & believe it or not, THIS is what the final MSDN page says that was supposed to have EVERYTHING to do with getting rid of the popup scripting error windows:

"Location Cannot Be Found"

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but the location you are seeking cannot be found."

"If you are looking for a particular document, please try one of the following areas:"

"Search"

(The last word in the message, "Search", is actually a clickable link that takes you to their MSDN information search engine.

heyyyyyy.... what a minute... that's where I STARTED, ya dipblanketyblanks!!

So anyways, I did more searching. I mean, I HAD to. MS ain't bein' considerate & helpful about this very basic problem. But then, big bad smelly gorillas just don't HAVE to be helpful if they don't WANT to be helpful, right folks?

Anyway, so here's the MS fix.

For now.

Thank GAWD my new Mac PowerBook Titanium G4 laptop that has 867MHz CPU/1GB RAM/1MB L3 cache and, most importantly, STABILITY will be in my hot little hands on Sept.24th.

I began in Macs 20 or so years ago, then got duped into MS's WinBlackHoles for several years. Actually worked for Gateway & HP for several years, fixing their probs. errr... actually, fixing WindDoze so that their products would frikkin' WORK right. Then went back to Macs & had both Macs & IBM-compatibles coexist with me for a while, with my useage emphasis still in WinSucks. I'm a slow learner. Or had low self-esteem. Or got an ego punchup from actually fixing Windows. Time after time after time after....

But.......

I SEEEEEN the light, Loooooooowd!

No more "WinTakesUpMyTimeFor NoGoodDecentReasonDoze." I will, however install Virtual PC with Win98SE on my new TiBook, when I need to use a Win App or...!!horrors!!...may actually feel like I need to flagelate myself with problemsproblemsproblems and succumb to the lust for disaster and actually **WANT** to run a WinDoze application.

yyyyyyya.

That's just what I need in those "dark days". More chaos, confusion & feelings of impending DOOM just KNOWING that a lockup, one or more error frikkin' popup windows or a BSOD is gonna happen SOMEtime.

Now, if any of you readers think that I am over-reacting to MS's BS, perhaps even that I'm a tad bit too ang-er-eee then just read what's on these pages' links:

Enlighten yourselves. *IF* you have the courage to do so:

- "Microsoft's REALLY hidden files."

http://www.microsuck.com/content/ms-hidden-files.shtml

(Think you've erased things? hehe. Think again, friends.....Your REALLY personal information is kept on the hard drive by Windows, no matter what kind of MS-subservient software you use to "erase" things. Think you've erased email? No ya haven't. Browsing history? Nnnnope. Info in Coookies? HA! Gimmee a break!! Cookies' stuff is ALL ABOUT, for the most part, getting YOUR money into OTHERS hands! Something MacroBucks is veryveryVERY good at doing! But for what reason have the MacroBucks software engineer sycophants been directed by The Wizard of Oz to save these kinds of very personal information-holders on your harddrive?? MS has not come up with a plausible, decent, useful reason for why WinBlackHoles does this. Not even a usual MS BS-type of answer. hmmmmm.... Orwellian.)

Good luck. And GET SMART. Ditch WinBlackHoles. Mac. Linux. *ANY* other Operating System other than what money-fleecing MS has.

Because if you don't ditch Windows then you've got NOTHING but TROUBLE ahead of you. Gar-OWWWWN-teeeed...

But if you like having trouble in your life, maybe makes ya feel "alive", then...

Stay with virus-plagued, error-plagued, uselessly-bloated-software-plagued, ever-"WindowsUpdating"-plagued, holes-for-2leggedhackerbugs-plagued WinBlackHoles.

If you are one of those smart folks, or curious about what it might be like to BE smart, and would like to see what it feels like to begin to wean yourself from being dominated by MicroSoft in this Internet & computer-dependent society we've got now (at least, until the batteries go dead), check this out:
