I'm trying to make something that looks like a table of contents where on one side there is the title and on the right there is a number and I want dots to show which number corresponds with which title? I can't remember how to do it! Thanks!

You're talking about "leader." You can add it to any single-line paragraph this way:
1.Right-click in the paragraph and select Paragraph. (Note: Selecting a group of paragraphs first will cause this procedure to affect all of them.)
2.Click the Tabs button.
3.In the Tab Stop text box, put the value of the right margin.
4.Under Alignment, click the Right button.
5.Click the appropriate button in the Leader section
6.Click the Set button.
7.Click OK.
Now putting a tab character in the paragraph will insert leader and position the cursor to the right-end for that text. Don't worry that the cursor is right up against the right margin: The characters will move to the left as you enter them.
Hope that helps.

This straight from Office Word Help documentation.
Create a table of contents
The easiest way to create a table of contents is to use the built-in outline-level formats or heading styles. If you are already using outline-level formats or built-in heading styles, follow these steps:
1. Click where you want to insert the table of contents.
2. On the Insert menu, point to Reference, and click Index and Tables.
3. Click the Table of Contents tab.
4. To use one of the available designs, click a design in the Formats box.
5. Select any other table of contents options you want.

I don't know what version you're working with, but with mine you can just create a right tab with "leaders," and when you tab to that position the dots fill in automatically.
In my version:
Format --- Paragraph --- click Tabs button at bottom --- enter where you want your right tab to be (the text will wrap to the left from there) --- select the leader you want (there's only one with dots)
Of course, you could create a whole table of contents, but I'm thinking you just want something more simple.

First you shouled know which version you have, because there is a little difference among different versions.for example,if you use office word 2003,do the steps:
Click where you want to insert the table of contents and enter ,then click index and tables. enter the right tab you want. and then select a leader.before this, you shoul create a whole content table.

K first you click insert and choose the line option. then you go to your picture tools and you choose the shape outline option...then you choose the dashes button and you choose what kind of dots to use:P
hope that helped.
