I bought a new computer and it came with windows 7 home premium. On my older computer I had windows 7 ultimate which I purchased. I tried installing windows 7 ultimate on the new computer and it is telling me to update it I have to go back and click on windows anytime update. I tried doing that, entered my activation key, and it is saying my activation key is not valid, that I need an update key. Is this something new? I had no trouble updating my older system to windows 7 ultimate. I do not really want to do a custom install because I will lose all my data the new computer came with. Any suggestions?

windows 7 ultimate is for IT Professionals,

of which you are not,

otherwise you would not be asking this question.
