I'm using LMMS (Linux Multimedia Studio) and I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy FL Studio. Are there any differences in between LMMS and FL Studio? Or should I just skip FL Studio and go straight to Ableton Live? Any help would be great.

It seems that Ableton its more professional, but I have never used Ableton. FL Studio And LMMS are pretty similar, but FL Studio was easier to understand (For me). But if you are going to be pretty into producing music I recommend you to get Ableton, just to get the hang of it.

Keep yourself the deliberation and get a duplicate of Reaper. Its probably the most best DAWs in the market and it best charges about $70. You get so many folks on this website banging on about FL Studio as if it used to be the greatest piece of application ever created. Honestly....It can be no longer.

Your best bet is simply to try FL Studio and see if it works for you. There's a free demo:

Abelton also has a demo: https://www.ableton.com/en/trial/

If you need help getting started, check youtube for great tutorials.

And if you decide FL is what you want, the developers of FL at Image-Line offer new users an instant 10% discount link. In addition to that, they give you lifetime free updates (FL 11, 12, 13, ect.. will be free as they release): https://support.image-line.com/jshop/shop.php?offer=Default&promo=BFHEHAH486
