How to insert a "half space" between characters in MS Word? A "half space" is half the width of a full space.

Sometimes a publication uses a "half space" between two digits in a number, rather than a ",". Example: Rather than "10,000", it uses "10000". What keys do I need to push to produce a half space in Microsoft Word? I can't find it on my keyboard.

You cannot put half space but you can do it by some cheating or trick, select area where u want to put half space go into font and select the size half of the font size of you content
e.g.
you are drafting letter in font size 12. you are writing something like "Rather than 10[select this area]000, it uses.........". go into format menu, select font, apply size of 6. I believe u can solve your purpose by doing this.

A clumsy way is to type in a full space in eg. "10 000". Then, highlight the space and change the font to a much smaller font, eg. font size 5.
Should have better ways of doing half space.

I have to remember to check regularly if you've asked any questions from now on, you keep surprising me. :P Yes, I imagined Blair, George Bush has to much of a distinctly Texan accent, he'd be anachronistic in a story that takes place in England....and Bush to me seems more like the predecessor. I would definitely imagine him threatening to throw someone out the window, if they went on about being the head of a secret magical government of witches and wizards. "Now see here I don't know who's idea of a joke this is, but unless you want me to kick your rear out the window, you'll get it out of my office. I ain't got time for silly high school pranks" :P Hypothetically speaking if the HP world were real then, Bush along with almost every other world leader would know of the wizarding world. Since every country would have a magical community and it's likely they'd be let into the secret for security purposes....Something to think about. Also Blair is the closest Prime Minister to match, HP's not so accurate in muggle politics' time line. Since he became minister in the May of 97 and, that chapter in HPB takes place in the summer of 96, but still it's a fictional world no need, for technicalities. (Clinton was the U.S' president at the time though, ah ok I'll stop now :P)

I do not know how to use it in the key board but I normally use the format option found on the standard bar, then click on font and you will find the character spacing option. Hope this helps
