What is the best and fastest free video-to-dvd converter?

I'd like to download a free converter (from any video format to dvd format) ...I have already downloaded one, but it was soooo slow that it was getting on my nerves! :P I'd also like the converter to be able to burn a dvd disc after having transformed the videos... Thanks!

How long does it take to convert videos to dvd?
