every time i turn on my computer, it lags like crazy, and when i try to go on the internet, it takes forever to load the page. sometimes it would have server busy and it would say the action can not be completed because the other program is busy... and it says switch, or retry as an option. if i press switch, the start menu cames up, and retry doesn't do anything. when the page is too slow to load, it just turns to an error page and it says internety speed monitor. i just got rid of this thing called mirar, but it didn't really do anything. i let my dad go on some sites for news, but i wasn't looking, so he did something i assumed, because it lagged a lot after. could this be some sort of virus? or something? how can I get my computer to normal? This has been the 4th day already

Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some regsitry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".

Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically! It even can speed up your computer by 300% or more!

There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.

Have you tried simple things like defragging, cleaning the disc or getting rid of your cookies? I just had the same problem on my work computer and did all 3 of those. Not a complete solution, but drastically increased the speed of things. If you go into the control panel of your computer, you will find how to do all these things. Also consider installing a security sweeper. They really help too.

Well, I guess you could have an ad/spyware infestation and you can get a program to locate/clean/block that kind of stuff. If you have windows, do a disk cleanup--go to the Start Menu, go to All Programs, Click on Accessories, Click on System Tools, Click on Disk Cleanup, click on yes. That will remove any unnecessary files that have accumulated from using the Internet.

In Explorer, you can to to tools, Internet options, browsing history, click on delete and say yes to all that stuff. Nothing essential will be removed.

Disc cleanup, defragment, clear internet history and all temp files and cookies, run antivirus scan, download and run spybot search and destroy, this will help a lot. Also, see what ram you have vs. what your pc can handle. You should always have the max ram your rig can use. This in itself will greatly enhance pc performnace, if your ram is too low. And lastly, download Startup advisor. This will let you tailor what programs start on bootup. I have absolutely nothing start on boot except my anti-virus. I have no programs running in the background eating up cpu cycles, so I get a faster pc, faster boots, and faster shutdowns.

Delete all the files and songs that you dont need on your computer trust me it works. Also it may be a lot slower if u have dial up like me and sometimes if the weather is bad then the conection just also is a lot slower than usual!

Try a thorough virus scan.

I found a good cleaning program that cleans out the temp files and unused registry files, it is called Ccleaner.

I ran it and it seemed to help my computer.

You can find it here: http://www.ccleaner.com/

probably a mix of virus and spyware lurking in your system,,, but before that, have you installed any new software to your system before your start experiencing this problem,, if so then try to remove that software first,,,

the best way to speed up your system again is to format,,, but it should be only be your last resort. Goodluck

it can be a virus.. but you should go to ur control panel then add/remove hardware.. and completely delete the files you never use or need.. also delete your internet history once in a while.. it will get faster.. it happened to me too.. i had a lot of pop ups and viruses and files that i never used so i got norton antivirus to get rid of the viruses and i also deleted my history.. (its on internet explorer--the history tab--show sidebar-- click on it and press delete button)

Have you tried scanning it for spyware/viruses? If you don't already have any antivirus software, I recommend Lavasoft Ad-Aware. Download it, install it, scan your computer. It's simple, really.
