Question:
Full screen "On" or "Off"?

Regarding my Virtual Villagers game:

I clicked on options for the game, clicked "Off" Full Screen so that I could keep an eye on my villagers while I worked (Yea, teach me to mix pleasure with work, huh?).
Suddenly the game went freaky on me.
First box says "Failed initializing DirectDraw. Only 16-bit and 32-bit displays are supported by windowed mode." w/an "Okay" button.
Hit okay button and up pops "Could not open display. Error code=0xc8660110" w/an "Okay" button.
Hit okay button and up pops "send error report" yadda yadda yadda.
What I'd like to know is how do I get my game back. I've rebutted, clicked on game, and only get the previouse "error" boxes. I've reloaded the game from Yahoo, but, again, got the "error" boxes. I've even tried to turn back time so I could smack my stupid self before I even thought of touching that "Off" option, but, turns out, I'm not Superman.
So, any suggestions?
Or am I screwed?
Please help!
Thanks all.

It's ok,this is what you do,first,go into the place you installed the game,(normally it's drive c)then see if there is a folder named saved games, save,or just savefile or anything similar.Copy EVERYTHING in the folder and paste them somewhere safe.uninstall your game and then put it back and then take the files you copied and put them back into the save folder which should be empty.good luck!

I don't do games - but if you want a full screen (all toolbars off), press alt + V.

To restore, cl the "restore to full screen" button, if you see one, or alt + V again.

bring the full screen back and tell them about it they'll give you a new one
