It sounds like this mouse has been switched to a left-handed mouse (or, if you are left handed, a right-handed mouse).

Click the Start button and select the "Control Panel" option. Open up the Control Panel applet named "Mouse". Unfortunately, there are many different mice out there and they all have their own driver software. This means that the Mouse settings will look different for different mice. The option you need is labeled something like "Swap Mouse Buttons" or "Make Mouse Left-Handed" or something like that. For me, the option is on the Buttons tab and is labeled "Swap left and right button functions of USB mouse".

I have also had an issue before where my left clicks were bringing up the right-click context menu. I resolved this by right clicking somewhere to bring up the context menu and then left clicking somewhere else to make it go away. It is almost like the left mouse button was confused until I reminded it that the right mouse button had the job of bringing up the context menu...

Or just try to check it with other mouse and see if the problem still exist or not....Or maybe there is something wrong with ur mouse....If u are using wireless mouse just check the battery of it..Thanks

Are you double clicking with the left button? you ought to double click immediately or it won't artwork. attempt this: circulate to regulate PANEL Open the icon suggested as "MOUSE" close to the backside of the window that opens is a area suggested as "DOUBLE click velocity" - turn the fee down somewhat and attempt it out. with a bit of luck that works.

hi debu, double clicking on an icon with a single-click cursor could open up the right-click menu. otherwise this may be a hardware issue ie you need a new mouse. other views welcome of course...............
