How does Widows Error Reporting work ?

My cable Internet connection was interrupted for about a week, but when I encountered a problem with a program the error reporting box would open and say it was connecting to a server and then complete the reporting process. Does Microsoft have its own express broadband lane on the Internet ? Or is the reporting process fake ?

Windows may have simply stored the error report and waited for the connection to resume to send it.

In summary, Windows Error Reporting simply takes a small amount of data from the memory dump that was created after the crash. The data is sent to Microsoft where it is collected and analyzed by the developers. The data is used to develop new products and improve the existing ones. The transfer is fast simply becuase the information being sent is relatively small. This is a configurable process that can be disabled

An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz

no, they don't have their own lane, probably it said that it sent the report but it saved it for sending it later
