The customer service rep. said I had a major virus and he reset my computer to the original factory specifications ( I really think he didn't know s++t and did this just to get rid of me). Now when I go to open various files, Microsoft asks for my User Name, Initials,Organization, and Product Key. My computer is several years old and I don't have the original installation disc and can't find my Product Key #.

Are you looking for the Windows Product Key or an applications' Product key?

If you don't have the original cd's, how did the representative restore your computer to the original configuration?

Win KeyFinder 1.73 RC2 / 1.72 Final 0.167

WinKeyFinder description

Win KeyFinder retrieves your product key, and allows you to change XP, Windows 2003 and .NET Product Keys

Win keyfinder helps you retrieve your windows Xp, win 2000, windows me, 98, 2003 and .NET Product keys from the registry and display it for you.

Usually the keys are encoded and stored in the registry. Win KeyFinder decodes it and also allows you to change Windows XP, 2003, and .Net Product Keys just by pressing a button. It is simple and easy to use.
