I have Fedora 16, and have been trying to install flash so I can watch youtube videos, listen to online radios, etc, all day. I can't get it! Can anyone point me to a relatively new guide, or explain how to do it? I know I need to move the .so file into plugins, but do I download .rpm, YUM, or tar.gz?
Help please! I will give out best answer. :)

Adobe's Flash plugin won't be in a position to be secure in Fedora as a results of fact it incredibly is not loose/libre and open source application. Adobe does launch a version of the Flash plugin for Linux, and it is utilized in Firefox, Konqueror and different everyday internet browsers. whilst Adobe releases a extra modern-day version of the Linux Flash plugin, it makes programs available for Fedora, yet Fedora can't contain Adobe's plugin as long because it truly is unavailable as loose and open source application. you will have your browser (Firefox, Konqueror) set up flash upload on, not Fedora

You actually don't need Flash for YouTube or other media sites anymore...most of that is in HTML5 now, and YouTube has a fully functional HTML5 site that works better than the Flash site since you don't have to deal with anything crashing. If you insist on using Flash, then just go to the Adobe website and it will allow you to download the appropriate version for your system.

if you go to Adobe flash.com it will recognize your Operating system and automatically install flashplayer to your system.
