ad-aware is a very good program, the term mru is for your tracking cookies on your computer which are no threat (The number of negligible objects detected. These objects are not considered to be a threat. They consist of MRU (Most Recently Used items) lists and can be removed if the user desires.) you can learn all you need to about ad-aware from it's help menu. but if you want to delete the cookies or mru's that will be fine. cookies just help your computer get to the web site faster.

If Adware detects a threat and cannot remove it , that prob means that the program is running in your background. You cannot delete a program that is running.
Boot into safemode by hitting F8 a couple times when the computer starts up.
It will prompt for a menu , select "SafeMode"
it will boot windows , and the colors and stuff will be off the wall .
login to your acount , then run Adware again , that should get rid of it. reboot and everything will be back to normal.

Alexa works as an Internet Explorer toolbar and may track your web browsing and search information.
Make sure there aren't any IE windows open when you are trying to remove Alexa..
There's a tool available to remove it: http://www.spywareremove.com/removeAlexa.html
This website will give you the tool to remove Alexa and more information on Alexa...

I read an article once that said if you use 2 or more adware/spyware removers, you get really good results. I use Adaware and Spybot S&D and and have good success.

Make sure you put a check mark in front of everything you want AdAware to remove. It doesn't do it by default.
great one

You need to find someone that can get them out of the registry where they are embedded, otherwise their never going to truly "go away"

Get *another* spyware catcher, like Spybot.
