Uninterrupted numbering in MS Word?

Hello,

I'd like to have the following Numbering format in my MS Word document:

1. Text

2. Text
a. text
b. text
c. text
Text from #2 continues

3. Text

The problem is with "Text from #2 continues" as I can't find a way of having it as a continuation of my #2 level, but rather it must be d. of the inner numbering or 3. of the next paragraph. Is it possible to do at all?

Do this to the continuation text after you've started the 3. item:



In versions of Word prior to Word 2007:



1. Right-click the paragraph.

2. Click Bullets and Numbering.

3. Click None.

4. Click OK.



In Word 2007 and 2010:



1. Right-click the paragraph.

2. Select Numbering.

3. Select None.



In either case, this will de-number the paragraph and renumber those after it. You may have to adjust the indentation with the Increase Indent button.
