"I am very scared of these MS softwares."

Back Up all your Personal Data, in Vista, FIRST, and your fear will go away!

Assuming you bought the W7 Upgrade Kit, within Vista, insert the W7 Upgrade DVD (32-bit or 64-bit, it must match your Vista version). When you see the W7 Installation Screen, choose the Upgrade Option, NOT the Custom Install option.

Then, just follow the prompts. After the final W7 re-boot, you'll have exactly what you wanted, with no need to worry about anything bad happening to the W7 Boot-Loader.

hi arindam, place your windows 7 beta in your E:\ driver and reboot when you see your logo start tapping f12 hit apply then start tapping any key until you see a scan begin then stop tapping and let it go trough the scan and begin hit install now when you come to your petitions you will notice two petitions so hit advance now you must know which petition is vista is on so let's say that vista is your basic petition than that is your basic petition so on your 0 petition hit delete that petition now hit new in the box make sure that your number in the box is 238473 and hit apply now hit next and install windows 7 beta. now do not disturb windows xp on your number one petition and no problem. but allow me to talk to you as a friend to have two file systems why have two file systems? not important like dig this i was in to the same setup i was discussing this over with a repairman and he asked me a question sure you can but why would you want to? good luck hope i was helpful to you
