I have office 2011 for Mac and I am trying to get a Visual Basic program to run, but I can't seem to get it right because I can't retrieve my file pathway then copy the data in my file. I have decided to install Parallels Desktop 6 on my Mac, but I don't know how I should set up the Windows in order for me to have my Visual Basic program work on my laptop. (The VBA program was written on a Windows computer)
How should I set up my PD? Should I Boot Order it, or just set it up so that the Mac and Windows OS run separate from each other?

With Parallels, you set up a virtual machine and install Windows as if it was on it's own computer, there is nothing special you need to do to the installation. If the program runs in Windows, it should run just fine.

Parallels is used to "Virtualize" a Windows Desktop. You will want to install Parallels, then obtain a legal copy of windows. Add a new VM (Virtual Machine) and install Windows as you would on a PC. Once installed, Windows will run like a program on your Mac. No boot order change is necessary, they will run at the same time.

You will then want to load the program within the Windows VM and run it that way. This may require you to add a USB or folder filter to your VM so that Windows will recognize the drive with the file, instead of the Mac.

Simple as that, just may take some time.

there's a style of application that facilitates you to run homestead windows on your mac it rather is the only way i'm attentive to to run and homestead windows based application on your mac. a number of those courses are Bootcamp (ought to already be put in on your mac), VMware, and VirtualBox
