Converting a pdf file to a MSoft WORD document?

Question

I have a pdf document which I want to convert to a Word document so that I can change parts of it and adapt it to sometrhing that I can use for my intended purposes. Is there a FREE, downloadable program I can use to do that? If so, send the link, please. Thanx, Yahoo-ers! Love you all!

I have been trying to convert PDF files to word documents for some time and have never found a suitable program to do it.



The Free ones I did find converted the PDF to a snapshot or JPG but not to an actual DOC that could be edited. OR they only converted part of the file and lift bits out.



The full version of ADOBE is the only program that will do it that I know of and it is not free.

That's often impossible, i'm afraid. What you could do is print it out, scan it and run it through an OCR program. Otherwise, you might get lucky and find it's set up to make it easy to extract text or you might not. If not, it's possible you could cut and paste images of the pages in a word document but even then you won't really be able to edit it.



PDFs are pretty dire from that point of view.

i have tested it once by loading a 85 KB pdf and i got 349 KB word doc file which is good in quality
