i tried w8 recently and it looks pretty ok.. but what really worries me is windows' reliability and stability compared to mac OS x software. So what do you guys think? Is windows 8 catching up? or is it still far behind the OS X ML? I find windows did a great job after vista esp. with w8's start up time and clean interface.

I've tried both betas. Mountain Lion completes blows Windows 8 out of the water in terms of stability and features. Windows' Metro UI can be confusing at times.

It amazes me people wanting to compare two totally different operating system when neither of them are on the same playing field. Window will always have issues and crashes, fixing this and fixing that. There is no comparison between the two other than having Windows if you are a Gamer, or you want to change your hardware to some thing else or you want millions of programs you can install. They have to make serious changes to Windows 8 before I would put it on a computer permanently.

Well, Windows 8 is still in beta, so it is FAR AWAY FORM BEING DONE! I think that Windows 8 will be the year of change. I think that this year, Apple is gonna go down!
