How do I play files on Audacity after I have exported them as MP3?

I have downloaded Lame, but when I try and play the exported file a notice comes up saying 'server error'. I've tried exporting as other formats, but I'm trying to make a short film, and the audio won't work unless I use MP3 files.

but if you mean you want to re-edit it then you should have saved an audacity file not mp3
