I've got some documents that are popping up in strange "computer" language... so yeah, I think it needs converting... thank you :)

You're probably opening files that the program you're opening them in can't read, or the files are corrupted. Without knowing the file types (the part of the name to the right of the dot), we can't even guess what program or site you should use.

Use open Office to open, edit, and save the documents in different formats. It will do almost any kinda of format.

what language? is it kind of programming language?

"computer " language cant be understood unless you have tools for programming, such as Visual basic, Java, Delphi, Visual Studio, etc.
