Free Download Manager - How to use it?

Question

Yesterday, I downloaded 'Free Download Manager' as I thought it would help speed up my downloads. Problem is, I can't figure out how to use it. The 'Help' button doesn't connect me to anything, and I can't find a 'User Manual' on the Web.

Could someone please tell me the steps that will enable me use 'Free Download Manager' to download, and install a piece of software?

FDM should integrate into Internet Explorer or Firefox and take over any download when you click on a download link; restart your browser to integrate. If you use IE and have security measures in place, you will have to click the information bar at the top of the browser to allow the download before FDM can take over! If for any reason it hasn't integrated, open FDM and go to Options->Download Options->

Monitoring and make sure the boxes for IE and/or Firefox are ticked. Click apply.



Once you click on a download link, the "Add Download" box should appear - click ok to start a download. You can also specify a default download folder or destination such as My Documents.



Alternatively, you can right click a download link and select "copy link location" then in FDM, click the big blue circle with the plus sign to open the Add Download box; paste the link into the URL field and click OK to begin the download.



Good luck; if problems persist uninstall FDM and try Fresh Download which I find easier to use

You don't have to open download manager to download anything not is it a download accelerator to speed up downloads.



Download managers open automatically and give choices to either run or save the file on a specified location of your choice to install later, e.g., after manually checking for viruses and spy wares.

why bother u are limited to connection speed anyway
