What is subjective is Windows vs. OSX. The hardware is not subjective, nice is nice, with the exception of the Apple mouse, I never liked that, other branded mice work well on the Mac fortunately.
One thing about the Mac is the care you can sense Apple put into the machine from the moment you unbox it. If you've ever bought a cheap PC part that comes in a brown box, you'll notice a huge difference, and let me tell you, stuff that comes in a brown box are neither high quality nor are they lasting, you get what you pay for, whatever brand. So are there low end brown boxed Macs? Nope, they only sell mid range and above items. I guess Alienware PCs fall into this category as well, there are no low end Alienware PCs are there?
Its difficult to explain the kind of realization you get when you use a Mac, it'll just seem like I'm some sort of nutcase anyway ... ok its not that difficult, you realize its a quality product, that's it.
Windows is better at games though, Macs have games, but not as many as Windows, plus Macs have this weird thing with limited USB polling to 125/sec, so gamer mice are kind of useless, and usually they don't make Mac drivers only PC drivers.
Its best you step into a store that sells Apple hardware and just go in and feel up some Macs, play around with the software too, although if you are used to Windows, the software will feel strange and you'll certainly notice iffy the mouse. Not that you have to buy a Mac, just be a tourist and maybe pretend like you are interested, look at the ports, vents, feel it up, nobody cares, just act like anyone else in there.
