Like i need heavy reassurance that I am not deleting anything from my original hard-drive. Will all my songs and everything be secure? I need to know that everything will be safe. How does it work?

P.S When i do a clean installment of Windows 7 (the reason I am backing up everything) do i have to reinstall the Macrium Reflect Free software?

If you are making an image of an entire hard drive you restore that using the boot cd you made with Macrium Reflect. If your image is just the partition Windows was on, again you use the boot cd. If you are a restoring the image of a different partition you can use the cd or the installed program.

If you just want to restore certain files from a backup image you use the installed program and "mount" the image. You can then copy any files you want out of it.

What exactly is your backup an image of? whole drive, a partition or selected folders and files?

The program is very safe, it's what I use and I've created and restored dozens of images w/o any problem.

Only safety with the System Disk, you could not back up the files in other disk if you delete them, if you clean Win 7, the restore point will disappear, if you want to back up the songs and other important files, you could use Perfect Optimizer which could not only back up the system, but also the important files and drives.

Just use this:

Use your old hard drive, plug it in to this, then USB it to another computer, transfer the necessary files and then reformat. Then you have it backed up for sure on your other computer or laptop.
