DOSBox for prince of persia: tsof and ww?

Can this PC run some older games?
I just bought this new PC, and I was wondering. Would it be able to run some older games? here are my PC requirements:

-Intel Core 2 Quad Q 8200 processor (2,33 GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 1333MHz FSB)
-4 GB DDR2 RAM
-1000 GB
-NVIDIA GEFORGE 9600 GT
-Vista home Premium

would it be able to play "Prince of Persia: the sands of time" and "Prince of Persia: warrior within". This PC easily passes the system requirements of both games, but aren't they to old?

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was released in 2003 and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within was released in 2004, so yes, I think Windows Vista can play them, their not as old as the original Prince of Persia which was released in 1989, which Windows Vista cannot play, but not by itself, you'll need DOSBox (http://www.dosbox.com/), an emulator for Windows XP and Vista, which simulates an IBM PC compatible computer running MS-DOS...

now, I, for one, do not completely understand this message. Do I need DOSBox for the sands of time, or for the original prince of persia? And what is this DOSBox anyway?

DOSbox emulates older PC's and old hardware like EGA, VGA and sounds cards like SB16 and GUS. It's mostly to run MS-DOS games. You'll need it to run the Prince of Persia 1 and 2 games.



Any other Prince of Persia game is Windows based and uses DirectX. The only thing you can do in Vista is to set Windows XP compatibility on all the game's executable files. Also check if Ubisoft has a patch, or check on the web if someone figured out a way.

I am! though i have to admit, sometimes it is rather tempting to answer....but as prince of persia demonstrates- the outcome is priceless. just a quick note with reference to contributer "im a muslim not shia": I suggest you have a look at the askers previous questions and profile in a little more detail- it will prove a lot of things that you say otherwise ! and to be honest i couldnt care less who is from what sect, because ultimately we are all united towards one decleration

In this new videogame, the Prince has matured, is more aggressive and combative, and is looking for a way to overcome his devastating curse. After the success of The Sands of Time, The Warrior Within, has a different feel to it.

It's surely the leader game of its type.
