I don't want to download a program, and I can't open the Word document with Adobe.
Thus, I can't do the regular "right click, save as.."

There is an easy and effective way to convert word to PDF through Microsoft word 2007. You can download Microsoft Save As PDF add-in from Microsoft.com.

Also a newly release one Office 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) has built-in the add-in.

1. Start Microsoft Word 2007

2. Open a .DOC document and edit

3. Select from main menu “Office button”->”Save As”

4. Select “adobe PDF”.

If you don't have word 2007, don't worry. Click the link below may also help you out.

Try taking the .doc file and running it through an online converter. There is a free online converter at Zamzar.com. You'll receive an email a few minutes later with a download of the PDF that looks just like the word document.

If that doesn't work (which is unlikely with my experience), you can sign up for google and upload it to google docs. After the upload to docs, you can download a PDF. However, if you have a header or footer in the document, it may be gone.

Several choice for you:

1. If you are using Microsoft Office Word 2007 or above, you can download the Add-in "Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS " from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=4D951911-3E7E-4AE6-B059-A2E79ED87041&displaylang=en , then you can save as PDF from Word directly;

2. You can convert your Word file to PDF by some PDF converters online, here is a website for ur Reference, http://www.convertword2pdf.com

In fact, there are some free PDF creator, which can not only convert office files to pdf, but also can create pdf from images, so, if you need one, you can try Simpo pdf creator lite, it's a freeware.

Hope this helps.
