In the past several months, I have purchased a Nikon d40x, switched to Mac and recently loaded up Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Mac.

I can't figure out Photoshop Elements. Can anyone recommend a guide (user friendly for beginners) to help me start playing and learning. There are a number to choose from on Amazon, but my lack of familiarity makes me hesitant to just pick and choose.

If anyone has some experience or advice, I would be most grateful.

I would suggest you look at the ones written by Scott Kelby. He is one of the best when it comes to Photoshop!!!! His books give a lot of insight to the program and are written for normally people to use, not computer geeks! I have several in my collection and its what I normally suggest to my friends looking for a good Photoshop book, and they all have been happy with it.

Good Luck and enjoy

I use Photoshop Elements 2 and 6. I’m not a beginner but not an expert.

Both of these two books are very helpful.

And here is a link to Amazon for a MAC Manual for PS 4.

Have fun! It’s sort of addicting :-)

so a strategies as i understand aspects is a shrink down version of Photoshop isn't it? So i assume in case you have the money Cs3 is greater suitable in case you purely elect a larger effortless image/image editor stick to aspects.
