Question:
Word Document Will Not Print Completely & It's Not the Printer?

I am trying to print a resume from Microsoft Word. Anytime I try to do this, some of the lines will be incomplete (meaning a steak through them, not cutting off). I have checked and it is not my ink cartridge or my printer. I heard it could be because of the template used to build the resume so I rewrote the whole thing without using one, but still the document came out incomplete.

This has happened before with some past documents too, and not just template ones.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

Try using WordPad instead. It 'should' hold any formatting in the document, where notepad won't.
Been here before

I don't know how you figured it is not the printer. DO make a test print of your own on any page of any document from Wordpad, to check it is not doing the same thing with that. Dont just rely on the printer's own test page.

Print one page with the printer set to Black only. Then change the page to Dark Red text and print again. This will test out for certain whether one or all ink catridges are at fault.

Then see if is the FONT you are using.. Go to Control Panel> Fonts. Right click the font you are using and choose Print. This will print a test page of the font itself. Change your font if this is the trouble.

If the streaks are white, that is some printing is missing, you may not be getting some of the (usually reverse direction) lines of dots that go to make up the full height of a character. This could be caused by clogging print heads (often happens with cartidges that have been refilled frequently, as the print heads wear out). Do a head clean to try fixing this.

It can also be poor alignment. which can be adjusted through the management tool/console that came with your printer (if it did).

Still no good? or as a quick fix---

Try changing your printing resolution DOWN to one level poorer res. as a missing line doesn't show up as much (or at all if lucky). Print in Black mode if you have no colours in your document.

My Microsoft Word was also not working properly, I tried a lot to fix that but unable to fix. At last I got this link http://microsoft-office.customer-supports.com I just visited and made a call on their toll free. I got instant help from a certified technician to fix my MS Word problem.
