how to convert picture from pdf to jpg?

i had a picture scanned and it is now in .pdf format. i want to be able to crop this picture and for that, i need to convert it to jpg so i can run it with ArcSoft Photo Impression. Can anyone tell me how to convert it to jpg. or if not, can someone tell me how I can crop a pdf picture? thanks.

In order not to lose any quality when converting the files, it’s better to make use of a virtual printer. One of the most popular solutions is described here: http://www.print-driver.com/how-to/convert-pdf-to-jpg. This utility works with large files and has flexible settings. There is one drawback though – you have to pay for it.

open the pdf. go to edit (i think) and copy file to clip board. then open some sort of photo software, ifranview is free and what we use at my architecture school, and just paste it. then save as whatever file you want. then you can open in whatever program to edit it.
