I'm running on Mac OSX and I've found so many ways to combine a file containing subtitles, which is a .srt, and the .avi movie file on a PC. This obviously does me no good.

I was wondering if there was some free software I could use to combine these or possibly, though not likely, a website that could do the same thing.

I am not planning on burning this to a DVD or anything. In fact, I don't have a DVD burner, or reader for that matter, anyway. So yeah, it's just to watch on my computer.

Even a hint in the right direction would be amazing.

Try using VLC, and use the Conversion Wizard > Transcode.

There is probably an option to mix the subtitle file into the video.

Good luck!

they must be in a similar folder, and the data ought to have the right comparable call. The folder would must be named a similar ingredient, too. i'm uncertain, so if that's no longer working, exchange the folder call to a similar call with the aid of fact the data. to coach the subtitles on, there is oftentimes a command in the video participant.
